Anyone intrested in a TCB Pool for the 2008 Super 14's.
Excellent Site is SuperBru.
www.superbru.com (http://www.superbru.com)
Super 14's not open yet, but as soon as it is I'll create a TCB Pool and let you know the details.
Usally some good prizes put up and they seem to ship them worldwide.
Post if you are intrested.

I'll be doing both. (Fantasy League Junkie)
Although the Telecom one is easier, just 5 choices (High win, low win, draw, low lose, high lose), the SuperBru is just as easy, but because you pick your winning side and have to predict the points difference as accuratly as possible, I think it is the better sight for those that know rugby without having to know which players are in form.
I would suggest that the SuperBru site be the TCB Pool.
Anyone strongly disagree?

Guys & Girls.
SuperBru have openned the Fantasy Game for the 6 Nations 2008.
I've created a pool - The Chief Baboon for all those intrested in a little warm up of 5 match's. (also a good chance for those that have not used this site to see how SuperBru works before the S14)
Log on to SuperBru, sign up for 6 Nations and join The Chief Baboon Pool.
It may require acceptance from me to let you in, so drop a note on here to let me know which name you signed up under and I'll accept as nessasary.
Still keeping my eye open for the Super 14's and will do the same for that.
Good Luck.

Reminds me of the joke when a newly wed had a confession and said she was a hooker. The loving husband said "i dont mind, tell me about it". She then replied "my name was Nigel and i played for Otago"....

Telecom tipping literally takes 5 mins on a Friday afternoon to do. You only have four choices per game Win +12 Win by less than 12, Lose by 12 or less or lose by 12+. Generally there are only 6 games on a week so it a breeze.
Problem is when you start second guessing your initial selections and taking the competition seriously

Shayne is right. It takes hardly no time at all.
However if someone in the tipping group were to mention that the Sharks were gay and couldn't play their way out of a paper bag, then who knows how long it would take for you to calm down, say your piece and eventually drag yourself away ? :whistling: :icon10:

Edmonsta, As Shifty & Shanye say, 5 minutes or less, on either site as long as you don't start to secound guess yourself.
On the Superbru site, pick the team you think will win and then a points difference from the drop down. All matches (7 or 6 in the week depending) are all on one page. Run through, make your picks & submit. Job Done.
All the weeks are there, so you can do it week to week, a few weeks at a time right upto all the games excluding Semi's & Final.

Re: Lions vs Blues.
You've picked the Lions to win. :box: Now I have nothing but the greatest respect for the reasoning behind most of your selections, but I have to ask, do you know something we don't? Have the Lions been holding back until now ?
How is this possible? Is there beating the Blues, even a remote possibility?:hmmmm:

I know, I know, the Blues are on fire, yadda yadda, but my reasoning was based on the following:
Blues having to travel
Wishful thinking
Home ground advantage for what it's worth
Lions upsetting the Cheetahs last week and gaining momentum - nothing to lose :smiley36: Sure, the Lions are not consistent, but they have pulled plenty a rabbit out of a hat over the last year or so
Blues possibly being hi-jacked on the way to the game (it's JHB after all)

Yup, I know what you mean Ed. I did the same thing with the Highlanders.
Until their final pre-season match against the Blues I was absolutely convinced that the Highlanders would be at the bottom of the table all season. However they beat the Blues by such a wide margin in that game that I convinced myself that they would probably beat the Reds. To be fair, I thought they had a couple of big decisions go against them which ultimately cost them the game. However, bad decisions or not, they lost, so that’s that.
The Hurricanes-Waratahs game, now that one totally blind-sided me. :smiley18: In my defence I had no idea that the Waratahs would be fielding 16 men for that game.
And once they unleashed their secret weapon Jerry Collins, we didn’t stand a chance. His passing skills to the opposition were absolutely flawless. Whilst on the attack, he managed to ambush us several times by passing the ball to a pleased (but surprised) Waratahs player.
Fortunately we had a large amount of ammunition reserved for this match, and as a result we were able to shoot ourselves in either foot for the entire 80 minutes.
Unfortunately our ball handling skills were pretty poor that night too, but hey, who cares? Especially when you’re that accurate with a gun.
Shayne, make your picks bitch!
