My views on this - he should be suspended from playing until the tribunal.

whatever the outcome it can't be too good for team morale...the knob

It's a tough one - I don't know the circumstances of the "altercation" but I think that if there is a reasonable amount of certainty that the two were involved in a fight, then they should be stood down immediately whilst the investigation is conducted.

As a Sharks fan, allowing them to play this weekend tells me that they want minimum disruption before playing the Sharks and then will deal with the matter at a later stage.

Perhaps if the roles were reversed and it were a Sharks player, I might see it the other way round?

Biffon, what do you think?

Yeah Ed, I guess you're right.

We don't know the whole story and there may be a lot more to it than has been reported.

However there's now smoke without fire, but I would guess that it would have to be fairly serious if the ARU are getting involved.

Whatever the outcome, Henjak's chequered past definitely won't be doing him any favours.

Yeah, whatever thread killer, I'm outta here... :whistling:

Okay, maybe I'm still here - :smiley36:

Yep, I also think his past won't help him at all...

I can't stand hotheads that are put in a position that most people would kill to be in and then stuff it all up for nothing.

Sure, people make mistakes, and whatever the circumstances were will come out - but the fact of the matter is, Sare has a broken jaw caused my Henjak and any normal person would have a trip-switch that says "Oh, wait a sec, this isn't a good idea..."

Etc etc.

I shall now dismount off my high horse. Thank you. :smiley17:

True we don't know the cause of the altercation but we do know there was a punch-up and some has a broken jaw from it. As elite sportsmen representing not only their province but their country too, there should be a little more discipline involved. Kids look up to these guys and they should be reined in if the example they set is " resolve differences with violence".

I know this sounds hard but he should remember he's in the public eye and therefore needs to be a whole lot more restrained.

I don't see why not, he'll get his hole kicked in by the Sharks anyway!

there is no doubt the guy has a problem there are at least 2 other event that have been hushed up and are coming to light now.

BUT
I like his rugby, and he is by far the best scrummy Aus has right now and the force had an injury to their back up scrumhalf who is now out for the season. I agree with letting him play before the tribunal as everyone is innocent untill proven guilty.
Im thinking he'll be suspended this week maybe the whole seaon but he wont be kicked out of rugby. He is young, clearly has a drinking problem and anger management issues but dont many outstanding sports stars... can i name a few?
Ben Cousins - AFL
Wayne Carey -AFL
Andrew Johns - NRL
James Small - SA rugby
Wendell Sailor - AUS Rugby & NRL
Robbie Fowler - Liverpool (remember that grass sniffing fiasco?)

all debateably outstanding players in their sport
Wether its drugs, alcohol or wife bashing (usually alcohol or drug related) it seems that professional sport has grown a sub culture where when the players are off the field they are so bored that they turn to this shit to keep up the adrenaline rush they would normally get on the field.

it sad and i do feel for guys like him although i don't condone it one bit.

The Event...
Haig Sares jaw was broken right in the middle of the chin - that would take a fair bit of aggression, but on the other hand i heard Henjak looked a bit like the elephant man last monday and had choke bruises on his throat... The real story does need to be told before anyone can jump to conclusions.....
