Victoria Falls and Devil's Pool

What amazed me, were the kids. How could their folks take such a risk?

We used to call Devil's Pool either Rhodes' Armchair or Devil's Armchair - if my folks only knew what I'd been up to swimming there, I would've been thrashed within an inch of my life. The actual walk to the edge is pretty scarey too, and very slippery.:smiley3:

One Guy went over a few years ago who was trying walk across the falls too Livingstone Island on his own late one evening. I have a friend in Livingstone that was envolved in locating his body, which was complete, but most of the bones were broken several times, by the time the actualy found the body somewere after rapid 10.

I don't know of anyone who has gone over from the Devils Armchair/Pool.

Can't agree more Priya, Nyala & Sally.

Having experienced it, I can tell you that it's not for the faint hearted. For those who are not strong swimmers its a deffinate no in my book, and I'm affraid unless your kid is an olympic swimmer, you have no right to take them into those kinds of situations.

It was a awsome experience but no kids to stop us dong it.
