its quite cool but sometimes annoying cause the touchscreen is quite sensitive.

Eh, not hugely keen to rush out and buy an iPhone. I've got an iPod, I've got a phone, I'd rather spend $500 on beer than have to buy 2 in 1. Besides, they're a bit bulky.

What happened to small phones? They started out like bricks, then were really small, now they're bricks again.

Sod the features, I don't have 4 million friends, why would I want to store 4 million numbers?

I'd happily give up the features that I never use (camera, video, 4 million phone book spaces, etc) for a decent small phone that can phone and sms, but loaded with decent software for decent call clarity and a kickass walkman and radio.

it can be done but is not allowed by the manufacturer.

why not just make it soft coded to a network and a software factory reset allowed to be downloaded so as to allow it access to another network, something like some ADSL modems currently do.

Fair point Biff. They, are introducing them to NZ soon, where there is only one GSM provider (vodafone), who don't lock their phones here, so it will be interesting to see if they lock the Iphone.

Mr. Man's son is a mobile phone software engineer and has fancy phones that can do everything... he laughs at my old phone... but all I need it for is to send text's and to make calls..... and I know I won't be robbed in the street for it. The best bit about my phone is it has a small mirror on the front which is handy for putting on the lippy.... and it fits snugly in my jeans pocket.

What is the point of getting a Nokia N81 8GB if you can't use/don't need all the options......

we bought a bluetooth handsfree for the car last week,now thats a cool little gadget!! whenever either of us is in range of it the bluetooth connects to the phone and when we get in the car we have instant handsfree without having to even take the phone out our pocket, bag etc..

Probably a bit dated now but I recently got a Motorola V3. Similar story, it's got loads of features that I simply don't use including the camera. Eventually took a couple of pictures just to prove that it works and haven't bothered with it since.

It seemed like a good idea at the time but really, I only use it for calling and texting. I simply don't need it for anything else. Oh well, lesson learned.

Next time I buy a phone, I'll stick with the basics. Anything else is just a waste.

2nd version about iPhone is about to be released...not phased really...as our after work pub crap talk displayed, most of us prefer things to be seperate...iPod, phone and camera all as seperate gadgets...looks cooler

$6000 a yeah includes some minutes and Data but you still have to pay $199 for the phone.

Or your can by it without a contract for $1000 odd, but you are not allowed to use it on pre pay
