Feeling down? Tired of getting stung by viruses? Fed up of being snooped on byt pesky spyware? No beer money because of annual subscription costs? Not enough RAM due to bloated antivirus software? Sore bottom?
Well worry no more!
This might be of interest or use to someone somewhere.
I have been using a free product called Returnil (http://www.returnilvirtualsystem.com/index_files/rvspersonal.htm) for the last year which does away with the need for antivirus or antispyware. When it's turned on, every time you reboot your PC it clears your hard drive of everything that might have been installed during your last browsing session. What this means, is that your PC is completely clear after each reboot.
However this also means that anything you want to download and keep, has to be saved onto a virtual partition(which returnil can create on installation) or preferably an external hard drive. Otherwise it will get erased the next time you reboot.
If you want to install software or updates onto your actual hard drive, you can turn Returnil off with the click of a button. However, each time you turn it on/off you do need to reboot it before the change comes into effect.
This program is probably not for everyone, but personally I wouldn't be without it now. :smiley20:
