I got a phone call from Bob yesterday asking me to design a new flag for HIS Country- what are your thoughts guys?

One thing that's always bothered me about the flag, is that the ZimBird is facing the wrong way. Can you turn it around, please?

Red is definitely the colour and was over the weekend too. Anyone who wasn't on the wrong side, was asked to wear red.

Oh yes, much better!!!! At least the ZimBird is flying into the wind now.

Didn't anyone ever notice before that the bird was flying backwards.......(maybe that's what it's supposed to do??? ;) )

the bird faced backwards cos that represents ZANU-PF cos they dont look to the forward they look to the past......

Seriously though, don't you think the bird looked awkward facing backwards?

erm... i would have said it wasn't exactly flying in the first place... but a flag usually fly's out of the wind.. (left to right) so it would be facing into the wind anyway...

So, the flag in it's original format is correct?

It looks cock-eyed to me.......but then again, I'm left-handed :D

Not true! The bird was facing the pole, the direction the wind is comeing from. :smiley2:

If the bird is facing forwards, which to my way of left-handed thinking, that's correct. The ZimBird in all depictions is facing backwards........:smiley17:

I think you're yanking my chain :D

In almost all cases, the Zimbabwe Bird faces left. This is the traditional position, and appears so on the coats of arms for many towns and cities in Zim and on the Rhodesian and Zimbabwe Rhodesian flags.

The bird is perched so really dont matter what side it faces.
