I was a big Neil Diamond fan. I still have his "Hot August Night" album on vinyl. I am going to get a turntable and play that, plus all the other LPs which have been sitting in the top of a cupboard, for years.

I went to see him once in Christchurch. A lot of new stuff I didn't know.

Gotta admit after seeing him at Earls Court 4+ years ago & having seen the David Scobie 'Neil Diamond Masterworks' that he did 10+ years ago at Reps a few times l think David sings Neil's stuff better than Neil himself. Local is lekker man!!!!!

David Scobie did a very good job as a cover but nothing beats the original. Sadly I couldn't go to his show in Melbourne, I'd have loved to see him live. The Jazz Singer is still one of my top movies.
