TCB lives on

Hi all,

I've been doing a lot of thinking and making plans to ensure the survival of TCB. So in a nut shell, TCB has enough cash to run for the next three months (excluding the donation i'm going to make). In this time, we will make plans to ensure the survival of the website and its community for the foreseeable future.

In the next week or so, I'm going to rolling out plans where as members who pay a subscription to help cover the yearly costs will become part owners of the site, help drive direction, vote on crucial matters / new ways forward etc. Something like a TCB council who care and will steer the site to help promote our community. The amounts wont be much but as you know, its all adds up :)

So planning is the next stage for me. Working on a strategy that will drive Zimbabwean companies to advertise with us and other such ventures to enhance the website that will ensure its survival but minimise the impact to the thriving community here.

To all the members that have made this wonderful website and care about its survival, I thank you for speaking up. After 5 years of watching the regulars, the not so regulars come and go and all the wonderful, hilarious times and comments shared , the last thing I've ever wanted was to close this down.

I dont want to be an owner I will donate just as long as I have my extended family. Give me some time to get home and I will make a plan. I know its a bit harsh to ask for a set fee but is US50 enough as a minimum per annum, that will cover the guys that cant afford to pay. I am keen for that idea. As I say let me get home.

I nominate you to be the younger brother I never had - I could kick your ass first for giving us all a scare, but at the same time appreciate what you have and are doing.
