I'll pray for the Bulls I think. Top 4 would be great, Winners maybe a dream this year.

Well - bringing this one back -I do believe that the Crusaders are proving that they arent indestructable after all!

the Team to watch will be the Bulls, they are the only one not to have lost a game yet.. if they keep winning it might make for an interesting traffic jam for Second, third & Fourth.

My picks are Bulls, Sharks, Canes & Blues. (Tahs will drop off the pace now their luck has dried up)
Force still have a chance but realistically if they lose this weekend against the Sharks it will be another mid table finish for them.
Brumbies dont have the firepower to go the full distance and will also finish midtable as will the reds and Stormers.

Cheetahs, Lions, Highlanders and Saders will bring up the rear..

so with that lets look at my pre-season picks and match them to my current opinion... a few changes there.

pre-season picks:
Biffs predictions for 2009

1)Sharks
2)Saders
3)Hurricanes
4)Force
5)Stormers
6)Blues
7)Brumbies
8)Lions
9)Waratahs
10)Chiefs
11)Bulls
12)Reds
13)Highlanders
14)Cheetahs...

1/3 rd of the way into the comp....

1)Sharks -
2)Bulls up
3)Canes -
4)Blues up
5)Tahs up
6)Chiefs up
7)Force down
8)Brumbies down
9)Reds up
10)Stormers down
11)Highlanders up
12)Crusaders down
13Lions down
14)Cheetahs. -
so three teams remain the same, six teams move up and 5 teams move down

I reckon the Tahs are gonna fade faster than a 14 yr old at Origins...also think the Cru will pull something out the bag and get up into the top half.

If the Reds play like they played against the Sharks, anything can happen, tho its high risk rugby that needs a bit of luck.

Sharks have had they're wake up call, Bulls will need to start their tour off well, if not it get pairshaped fast...Stormers = Posers

Cheetahs are Kak, still...gotta be better than the "Southern Spears", I feel sorry for the Lions, a lot of talent, a lot of guts, but a lot of ordinary players (here read Earl Rose) for them to do too much damage!!

Think you're right Barto. It wouldn't surprise me if they pulled a surprise and beat the Waratahs this weekend. If fact my predictions are depending on it. They're still badly hit with injuries but they aren't playing badly.

If Stephen Brett's kicking hadn't been so piss poor last week, including that ridiculous penalty miss right in front of the posts(still can't believe he missed that) they would have beaten Western Force.
Stephen Brett was so bad that he couldn't even kick himself after the game.

I don't think they'll kick that badly this weekend, so whatever the outcome, I don't think the Waratahs will have an easy time of it.

Well they have a bonus in that Andy Ellis is back i believe he will deliver some mongrel into the side and im sure will kock over the Tahs...

yup, I think you're onto something Spanner!
I go for the Bulls, so of course I was pleased that they won, but I still wish it wasn't such a walk over!! (I also wish it wasn't played so later over here!)
