Nah, Air pistols are completely legal here in the UK - the only restriction is that you need a Firearms Certificate (FAC) if the pistol generates more than 6ft/lb of energy (12ft/lb for a rifle). Also you have to be over 18 to buy one, but be over 14 to use one on private property. (under 14 requires adult supervision but you cannot own one if younger...)
