The way the Aussies are playing they need to get their ducks in a row and sort out the infringements issue. They had a good game on Saturday but as usual came second. I think they will have a point to prove. Mind you, the game on Sat looked better than Bloodsport. The talent is there in the younger players but they are still wet behind the ears and need more starting exposure.

agreed AS... the young guns need to step up now that the older guys are falling by the wayside...
was a good game on Saturday but thats the 9th time Australia have lead at half time and lost to the AB's in the last 5 years.... unlucky not to have pulled off a last minute try.. had my heart racing thats for sure!

was debating whether or not to go to the game but reckon ill get a better view on the TV and be able to drink full strength beer too :)

Oh yes - it is on DSTV. Being poor people, we don't have DSTV. It costs R500 per month and we just don't think that we would get our money's worth. :smiley2:

Please don't tell anyone, but we have never subscribed to M Net. :whistling:

Hahahaha, no us neither. Dont have Sky here just have Freeview, its enough. My Darren has a great site that enables us to watch quite a few sports events free so we do that when needed.

Game has been interesting, watching bits inbetween mowing lawn and general cleaning.

Cape Town - The Springboks have recorded a bonus point victory over the Wallabies in their Tri-Nations clash at the Subiaco Oval Perth.

The Boks won 32-25 after leading 22-6 at half-time.

The Boks scored four tries through wing Bryan Habana (2), centre Jaque Fourie and scrumhalf Fourie du Preez. Flyhalf Morne Steyn kicked three conversions and two penalties.

Australia replied through two tries by flyhalf Matt Giteau and one by wing Lachie Turner. Giteau also slotted two penalties and two conversions.

The Boks picked up a full-house of five points for their efforts - the first five point haul of this year's Tri-Nations - while the Wallabies left with one point for losing by seven or fewer points.

The Boks have 17 points after four matches and lead the All Blacks (eight points after four matches) while the Wallabies are odds-on favourites for the wooden spoon with three points after four matches.

Australia will host the Wallabies in Brisbane next Saturday. Kick-off is at 12:05 SA time.

Do you think the Boks would still have won if the game had been 10mins longer? Methinks not with the pressure Oz was putting on them.

Why are the Aussie and NZ commentators such pricks. They are all for their teams, whereas the SA commentators are neutral, I just dont get it. They are fing pricks and should have a lesson in sportsmanship.

Quite obviously there's no such thing as impartial commentary on the Aussie & Kiwi broadcasts. Best thing is to turn the sound off on the box & hopefully pick up Mnet Supersport commentary from justin.tv - at least it'll support the side you want: the Boks!

I actually wholeheartedly agree with AS & ZB the Aussie and kiwi commentators are shockingly biased but this is understandable once you work out the aussie psyche...

theses folks here will blame EVERYONE else for their inadequacies before conceeding their own failings.. i just hope that i never start doing that.

Bokke proved they had it .. nuff respekt there!... i dont think anyone thought they didnt but it wouldve been nice if they played the last 2 games the same way they played the first half on sat....
interesting to think that if Giteau had slotted that dropkick conversion and the two missed penalties the aussies wouldve actually won... or at least been within 1 point if steyn hadnt fluffed one of the easiest penalties ever. :D

Aussies are not all like that. This is what my Dinkum Aussie mate had to say about the game:-

"Congratulations to the Springboks, what Can I say, its not our year but hopefully we will one game in the tri-nations this year. Its good medicine if your a boks supporter though Howard;-)...back to nursing my hangover"

Far too many handling errors by the Aussies killed off what might have been a good game of rugby. So the best team on the day had a relatively easy win

That must be it Howie.

I always get really annoyed when watching sports with an australian commentator. One of the worst is the tennis, they decide beforehand who's going to win, then they speak from that person's perspective for the whole game. If they happen to lose, they say "oh, "our favorite" must be off their mark today". Not "wow, "other player" played a fantastic game today" It makes me maaaaaddd!

In the UK, when watching football on Sky sports you get options of which commentary you wish to listen to. the one option is fanzone, where they select a supporter of each side to sit next to each other and commentate on the game. the result is very humorous as they slag each other off, and has even been known to end with a punch up. Not suitable if you are a serious viewer.

Also on the same channel when watching Rugby you also get the option of hearing the referee who is miked up which I find the best option
