I have tried for +- 2 hrs to log in to this site or anyRhodie/Zim site today. Kept getting and advert site for anti virus and trojan down loads. I thought I had been hacked...:naughty:

My pc was compromised big time. But I think I have now deleted the virus etc out of it. Sent a copy of my registry to a few fundis in the US and waiting for them to interprit it. Meanwhile, here I is...:whistling:

Pity his wife and his daily output...
Don't you have an active anti-virus on your PC to catch out the no-no's?

I have plenty plus. But! There are new ones that occur on a daily basis, and no anti-biotics are available. So one has to go through the long seek,
find and eliminate process.
I have AVG, Spybot and Adaware installed, plus Windows Defender. I logged onto a site that was corrupted a while back and recently re-opened, got the warning sign, but chose to ignore it. I still tried to open it, prematurely, I now realise my folly, then wella. Hacked by an exe. program.

Ooof - nasty.
I am (so far and may it continue) very lucky. I run Mcafee (was subs, now free from HSBC) and nowt else, with a weekly full scan. I don't visit iffy sites. Actually, I don't visit many sites at all.
Perhaps the lesson to be learned is if you don't know who it's from, don't download or open it.

The site was not iffy. It was an old homie site that I belong/ed to, but it got scribbled by hackers...:smiley2:. It has now re-opened and is clean...:whistling:
