Hmm, those were the days before CD's when your records were so scratched from overuse you had to put a 10 cent coin on the needle.

My nephew in JHB plays in a band and says that Vynil sounds are superior to digital, he has a record player that cost R4500 and get the latest music on records - I was amazed.

On the original topic of SA artists is anybody old enough to remember Four Jacks & a Jill? I remember seeing them at either Reps or 7arts back in '78 l think. They had a hit (?) with 'Sell a million' which l was hoping would be on You Tube but alas not; only a track called 'Master Jack' that was before my time.

Sjoe, what a coincidence. Was also chatting about them on friday. They produced many kids songs including a tape "Singalong Times Tables", just ordered it to help my 7 year old get the hang of it.
They are still very involved in Theater Productions in Jhb I'm told.:smiley32:
