What to do in Dubai

A question for all you Dubai transit travellers - I heve an 8hr stop over in Dubai (well 5hrs if I exclude 3hrs check in) and need ideas on what to do.
I have already considered Doro's as yet unposted advise and catch up on 5 months dry spell but then I may miss my flight so not too keen on that.

I understand that the law in Afghanistan allows sex with female animals, so can understand the dryness of that area as well as of the throat, but dont try and Kiss, fondle, feel or fornicate with anyone or you might have an extended stop over there !

Iggy, Dubai is not in Afganistan and although you may know better I doubt that there are any female animals wandering around the airport.

Got a letter from the quack today and will try the sympathy rout seing as I have just come out of surgery, am in transit and cant sit in those damn uncomfortable steel airport chairs for 8 hrs

mmm i don't recall the chairs being uncomfortable, but then i think i just sat on the floor there is a bar type area in the old section of the airport if u don't mind being smoked out (or smoke urself) then it probably isn't too bad

Alternatively, check into the hotel for US$51p/h - yes, per hour.

Thanks MB I had heard about the hotel and was considering that but at $51/hr the quiet lounge sounds more relaxing (More beer money)

Fine, Mahaba lounge chairs are not good for sleeping in and when I woke up there was a sign on the table saying "no sleeping". Back there again on the 13th
