As you will have gathered I am back in the big smoke...well almost, presently in Kalgoorlie with daughter and family and head back to Perth on Sunday.
I last reported from the Ningaloo Reef where we been diving with whale sharks. Since then have been to and through the horizontal falls, travelled the Gibb River Road across northern WA, crossed into the Northern Territory and legged it down to Alice springs from where we drove the MacDonnell Ranges, Kings Canyon, Ayers Rock and the Olgas (Uluru and Kata Tjutu) to give them their recently aquired aboriginal names. Our last section was to cross the Gt Victorian Desert back to WA - over 1000km dirt and gravel roads. So, when back in Perth we would have been on the road for 14 weeks and covered over 12,000km and interestingly only have covered 2 of the 7 Australian States and Territories.
When back in Perth I will compile a more descriptive report and add some pics. Needless to say we have had a ball.
