BEAUTIFUL!
- THe area labelled Bike shed is actually a double story purpose built art block (ceramics, pottery, graphic art, drawing & painting etc)
- The building labelled trophy room is actually the balcony/ tea/ vip area on pool deck (upstairs) & the gym & swimming pool pumphouse downstairs looking onto the main field.
- The 'trophy' room, named the Kolbe room after 1990-98 LEGENDARY Headmaster Mr Kolbe (Shayne & i had our share of canings from the old boy & MY WORD could he beat!) is attached to the tuckshop on the right, next to the field, with its verandah forming the vip area for rugby & athletics days.
- The old headmaster's house is now the music department (so the bugers can jam to their hearts content & not disrupt normal school!) Its pretty awesome, the main lounge is now a choir/ orchestra room & the other roms are teaching rooms & the guest cottage is the department office- i used to pop up there to use their kitchen to make sarmies!

Regarding the trophy room. I was trying to imply that we had so much silverware we required a separate building for it.

Can you two stop blowing smoke up each others arse!
Nice Photo. Always cool to see how the other schools operate. St J's hs certainly grown since I was last there. (I think that was 8-8 draw at U15 level where the 1st 15 cricket pitch is). Great to see that you guys have a music department. Sounds lekker. Not so sure about the trophy room though....sounds a bit try hard
I remember getting two of the best from Kolbe, and you couldn't hold you arse while still in his office. I distinctly remember saying, after getting the shots, "sorry sir! thank you sir!" while trying to keep a straight face, and all you wanted to do was get out the hell out quick and rub your stinging arse.
You would only get that satisfaction after making it passed the bursars/receptionists, and make to the Quad (our former assembly area before the hall was built) where hopefully no one was watching, but there was always some smart-arse cackling at you.
Where did u get the Sat pic from Shayne?

Google earth is your friend :)
I had so many beatings fom Kolbe it was frightening. I used to hate it when he made you choose which cane you were going to get beaten with.
