I have only been to the bookies once since i have been in the UK.

It was during the Euro 2005 Football Competition, I made a bet on England beating Portugal 2-1 and Owen scoring first.

Well Owen did score the first and Portugal equalized and in the dying seconds England got a corner and Sol Campbell jumped up and scored but the ref said no goal. England went on to lose in penalties and I missed out on winning 480 quid. It was 48-1.

That ref was threatened and quit being a ref

All in all ... just a glorified water boy!
