PE was a pretty good school all round I reckon when I was around. I hear old Barnes has left now though. Many Scabangers ended up there after being expelled from Saints. We used to fear them on the rugby pitch/Waterpolo (our oldest rivals) (Papenfus used to bloody kick/throw the ball for miles!) Also used to be main rivals in Athletics. Man that brings back memories of that shite concrete National Stadium. Really sucked at cricket though.

Listen here lightie...dont know when you went to school or where, but as an ex director of sport at St John's as well as Zim schools athletics, cricket & rugby coach as recently as 2004 i can tell you PE were still among the top 4 schools in Zim in a no. of sports (golf, w/polo, hockey, athletics- no. 1, tennis, squash, rugby, to name a few) As for their facilities- cant speak for their academic & cultural stuff, but their sporting ones must be pretty decent- i for one would NEVER have allowed for trials to be held there in rugby, cricket or w/polo OR allowed my men to play on substandard surfaces...& PE was certainly not one of those...ja, their facilities have gotten worse, but go look at Allan Wilson across the way from PE & then talk about shit facilities.

Easy Tiger!!!!! PE was a fantastic alround sporting school, when i was around, it was always a big game for us. They have managed to produce about as many national cricketers as John's. I still can feel some of the rugby hits from them. I dont know what they are like since barnes has gone.

This thread seems to have died going to see if i can get some life into it as i was a P.E. myself. When did barnes leave?

So i take it there are not to many P.E. boys here. Maybe that is because Nubs taught us to go out and be sporty instead of chatting on websites all the time. Ha Ha. Our younger rugby sides always made ST Johns boys cry. But them Churchill old bulles (sp) our young ass.
