although i do not "BELIEVE", this psalm gives me chills and its sentiment is noble
take from it what you will...

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever

Howards lung disease made for a difficult day to day life I am sure, but he never complained, he just explained his symptoms and got on with the oxygen tanks and making breathing as easy as possible. A brave man and he remained his usual cheerful and lovely self.

Howard had said he wanted a swift ending, that was his wish, and I am pleased that he receive his wish, it's very important to someone with a terminal illness to receive the best of care which no doubt he did, but if his time was right, Howard would not regret that.

Wishing Sam, Karry, family, grandchildren anf friends a good send off.

The very sparky, larger than life Chick passed away peacfully on the 22/8/11 at 9.00am. A nicer person you could not wish to meet and the world is a poorer place without her.
RIP my friend, Love you loads xxxxxx

Recent news (recent for me) via Facebook, of both Howard and Chick leaving us, has shocked me and brought me back (briefly) to the forum, after a long absence. RIP both Chick and Howard. Your characters shone through in every word helping to make this place as addictive as it was. Not sure what happened Chick but you were a strong and lively lady, I know that! Enjoy a rest now, till we all come up there and party with you!

Bugger. That is real sad.... she was a lovely lady and I had much humour with her at zimfest in days gone by...

RIP Chick... will raise a toast and have too many dops for you. You'll be missed.

So sad to see another loyal TCBer head off to the big chatroom/forum page in the sky so soon after Howard. Deepest sympathies & condolences to all the family, friends, loved-ones she has left behind. I'm sure she's already hooking up with Howard to chat & laugh about old post topics & threads. MHDSRIP.

Every time I see one of her posts on here I get such a lump in my throat, as I do with Howard. I also have so many special memories of Howie - both are very sorely missed xx
