r those that couldnt bother reading and making sense of all that heres the article that went with it:

THE draw for the 2007 Super 14 series was announced by SANZAR today and will kick off with matches in Auckland, Perth and Johannesburg on Friday February 2 next year.
The South African, New Zealand and Australian Rugby Unions that make up SANZAR revealed that the competition would begin a week earlier next year to allow for the Rugby World Cup in France.
The opening match will be between the Blues and Crusaders at Eden Park.
All up, there will be 91 matches plus two semi-finals and the final, scheduled for Saturday May 19, 2007.
Twenty-nine of the matches will be played on a Friday night, while 61 have been scheduled for Saturdays - in their local timezones across New Zealand, South Africa and Australia - and only one on a Sunday, when ACT Brumbies host New South Wales Waratahs in Canberra on April 8.
Teams with six home matches include the Chiefs, Queensland Reds, Central Cheetahs, Crusaders, Brumbies, Bulls and Stormers.
The Blues, Sharks, Highlanders, NSW Waratahs, Hurricanes, Western Force and the fifth team from South Africa will enjoy seven home games.
The fifth team from South Africa, listed in the draw as SA(5), will be advised by the SA Rugby Union at a later date.
The series will be telecast live, exclusive and uninterrupted on Fox Sports.

May the Force be with you!
I think we will see a huge improvement from the force this season, with Gitteau (spelling?),Drew Mitchell added and of course can't go past the quality of the coach and the other players. Potential is there.
They only just lost so many games last season, wiil be good to see the rise of the Force, can't wait

yeah im with you on that - i reckon we could possibly even see a finals berth but i'll be foolish to say anymore than that!

cheetahs also looking strong as are Blues! could be a tighter finish next year!

Even the Brumbie Cheerleaders would finish higher than the Sharks. And there are only 10 ten of them.

Hey, that's not fair, they'd distract the Sharks!

Come on if its not Crusaders then its Cheifs or Hurricanes and then its Some Aussie team . I agree with Shayne on the Brumbies Cheer Leaders taking the Sharks out and i dont even like the Brumbies

Raevoyn
10-17-2006, 11:07 AM
Isn't that where Clyde Rathbone is playing, hmm, I think they'll become Raevoyn's enemy no 1 team now! Damn the Brumbies to hell!

Shayne

Jealousy gets you nowhere.

10-17-2006, 11:43 AM
haha - actually i rate Rathbone as one of Australias better players but think he'd be better suited as a centre with those powerful legs of his -maybe they play him on the wing cause he is not a good tactician, just lights his tailpipe and vookas!

dunno i like the kid! :D

i think both SA and AUS have lifted their games - this season is going to be TOUGH!

contenders for me at least are:
Blues 1
Crusaders 2
Brumbies 3
Cheetahs 4
Sharks 5
Bulls 6
force 7
hurricanes 8
finals crusaders v cheetahs

Raevoyn

Actually I rate Rathbone too, I'[m just pissed he's a turncoat!

Blues are going to be VERY strong this year. The combination of North Harbour and Auckland (both playing well in the NPC) will make them a serious contender.

Raevoyn

Nothing compared to the Sharks!

Shayne
10-17-2006, 01:19 PM
If the sharks werent 5th best in SA i might agree.

Raevoyn
10-17-2006, 01:36 PM
They'll always be #1 in my book!

id like to see in the final 4
brumbies, blues, force, cheetahs
but ill be realistic and say it'll be
Saders, blues, canes, cheetahs

The blues looked good on paper last year and look how cuck they went! Just like my team the stormers. They looked cuck on paper and backed it up on the field. Not sure which is worse, to have a good team that loses or a bad team that has a surprising win. Guess that is what Zim sport has always been about. Ha ha. (The latter that is)

I wouldnt put any money on the Blues to pull through although they have a good side, they lack the stamina to go all the way. As I am a Stormers fan I will stick with them again next year. GO STORMERS

biffon
10-18-2006, 02:45 AM
stormers are my favorite SA team - sentimentally at least -but i do think that the Cheetahs will be the standout SA team this year. Stormers will finish in the bottom half i think..

Are the spears going to make it to the super 14?

biffon
10-18-2006, 12:12 PM
doubt it - as every day goes by it looks like cats (lions) will stay in and spears will lose out - they are just not organised enough as a franchise to pull off a super14 berth. - i do feel sorry for them though, they didnt not get much support after SARFU pulled the plug on their promise.. left them high n dry halfway through the year...
