What is the donate button for and how does one give and receive Rep? I am just a dumb okie!

The Donate button is for giving points to other users.

The way to give rep is by clicking on the Icon that looks like a set of scales by the users information on a post..

Every time you rep someone, you get points and the more post you do, the more likely someone is to rep you ... like this rep I'm giving you ....
