I went onto the the vale site... fairly KUK! however, I agree, used to be alright. It wasn't as yuppied up as St. John's but it did the job and produced some fine specimens- Zim cricket had 7ral old vallians!


In addition, the St. J's boys wouldn't have known what it was like to school with a bit of tallent around either- at least we got to perve occassionally- as well as the odd behind the cricket pavillion slap and tickle. Well, they might have but it wasn't with a las, even though some of them may have considered it tallent at the time??

There was only one thing i used to really hate about Vale and no can you believe it, it was not the teachers or that short bald cunt of a headmaster.


It was when we use to arrive in the morning, got out the car and all you could smell was the smoke from the coke burners in the kitchen. Used to make me feel really ill, oh and then waiting for the bus and the drivers decide to start up the bus next to yours. (Fuck the nightmare are all coming back again).

Are you the Auz girl that joined Ryans class. If you are then I only saw you once when I came to Vale on one of the civies days and acted as an Exchange Student from Australia. Ryan do you remeber when I went into your maths class and my name was Patrick Niss. Hoping for the teacher to put my name down on the register as P.Niss. Hahahah, those were the days...also Mr (Short Bald head cunt) Bousfield walked in and looked at me for a few seconds and then walked out again.


Then later we were in the six form study and Mrs (Form 4 Biology teacher) asked me to take some forms to Mrs Langs class. Damn she was my form teacher and tennis teacher andI still forgot her name.

Been a while since I've had a look at all the gossip going on... bit of humour and I see my mate Tiger is stirring up a storm?


Let's settle one thing on vale- I think I'm a bit older than most of you (not by much- couple of years).Put it this way-joined grade 2 in 1982- left for Malawi in '88 and then back to what had been changed to Vale in '93 for lower six for 2 yrs. In- fact, was wierd as Ireturnedon swimming tour in '91and we stayed at Vale... thought the place was a dump- kitchen facilities sucked!I hated the place as a junior and fortunatelyI was a day-ski then... but came back as a boarder in lower 6 and it was ok.After one term, had enough respect and it was a breeze from there- as a border I came and went as I pleased, got pissed up in my room etc- usual shit! Was a good laugh and had some very good mates there- still in touch with most, (Lurie, Holland, Fuller, Cockburnetc) & they were at my wedding last year, so we're still tight. Anyway- my point is that we all made good mates at school weather St. Gorgeous or John's... it's just a Zim thing to compete. I work with guys in the tobacco industry who still cuss each other about going to Orial, Churchill, Ellis Robbins & PE- they're 40 year olds and still at it... but just for the dig, it seems that these "all boy schools" have a harder time accepting their rivals or rather have bigger points to prove!


Babwean & proud- no matter what fucking school- even if mrs. Fourie toughtpretty shit tennis but there was always the old Mr. Handsome West who'd be hitting on us in the Feds study! look at it all now and it makes me think- it wasall a fucking joke! Foesloe and her creepy damn under wear inspections. If anything i'm not surprised that some of the dames from that hole were fucked up or just rebelious (whichever way you want to look at it)- the schools we went to made the weak who they are... all with their own faults! Let's be honest- St. John's boysin my mind were skitters who had rich folks (in general)- call them spoilt brats if you will. One thing about Valians is that they were down to earth and to the point and learnt to accept what they had-we lost to John's at Rugby more than we beat them but we beat them in polo & cricketmore than we lost!! Hello girls... Been in Indonesia. In and out over the last 3 months... been tough as my lightie is only 3 months old now. haha greenballs did you remember that off by heart? Tennis ball tin, I remember that very well we had to compact it with a hockey stick.

I went through some serious initiation, a lot of fitnesses in the early hours of the morning, winter being especially crap, being hung out of the top story window by your ankles, shine parades you name it I did it. We also got one of the worst punishments in the history of Eaglesvale, I am pretty sure it was the worst by far. We were caught with Alcohol and cigarettes repeatedly so they beat us 6, We had to wear number ones all the time except saturdays when we had to shovel trailer loads of dirt. We were gated, saturday afternoons were spent in the preproom, no sport allowed.

In this time especially on the saturdays while shovelling dirt we used to some like chimneys and take the tractor for spins on the sports field and trying to do skids on it ripping up the field. Ahhhh what memories.

Grey was the house master at the time and used to enjoy getting pissed in his "office" and watching all the jnr's get beaten. I also had 3 skivies, two of them were the younger Stein twins (Greenballs mates!?!?!) One thing I can say for hostel life was that there was good house spirit.
