I have just changed code that allows thumbnails of all picture files.

To link to a picture on the internet, please click on the little mountain picture on top of the message box. To upload a file, click on the paper clip icon and choose the location of your file.

Click reply on any post to see the above options.

(If you do not see any of the options i am talking about, you need to click on UserCP on the top left navbar, click edit options, then scroll down to the bottom and change message editor interface to full WYSIWYG editing.)

If people have a problem that the sizes are too small, please let me know.

I have changed the maximum for all picture files jpg, jpeg and bmp files to 200k.

If this is still too small then please gt back to me.

Can you give me the error? I can see that you already have a profile picture. Are you trying to replace it?

Ok to upload photos.

1- Make sure that this step has been completed - Click UserCP, click edit options, then scroll down to the bottom and change message editor interface to full WYSIWYG editing.
2- Click reply on any post and click the paper clip icon to upload pictures from your computer.
To post a picture from the internet that is already hosted, click the Mountain with sun icon. this will ask you for the URL. On the picture you are wanting to copy, right click on it and click properties. Copy the address URL: and paste it.

Any other questions, give me a shout.

Abbo, can you rename the profile picture you are trying to upload to something like pic.jpg and upload ity again. Let me know if this works.

I succeeded in posting a picture on one of the threads. Hurrah for you I hear you shout.

However it is somewhat larger than I would have liked or expected. Any top tips with regard to controlling the size of any uploaded pics.

I obviously managed to get the picture smaller in terms of memory taken up, but not size.

Thanks for any advice.

Right click on photo - open with Adobe photoshop - go into images and click image size. Icle box comes up - adjust the cm/inches in boxie and then save as with new title. You can also reduce the pixels in the ickle save as box that will appear automatically when you click save as. It has a slide rule which is easy, just reduce to small.

Hmmm are the maximum sizes you can upload gonna be increased??? Just that most pics you take with a camera are now over 1 meg so generally everytime you wann upload photos you have to compress them etc which is a right pain.... also can you increase the size of pps as they are generally alot bigger sizes now..... I mean when these max sizes were last changed??? Maybe fine back in 2006 but in 2010 I think we need to increase sizes???

You will need to reduce the file size. I use Photoshop to prepare pics for uploading to the internet. There are many similar programmes which do the same thing.
