Mostly good but digital fortress and deception point lacked the realism to the others (Angels & demons & D V Code)!

I will have to agree with you!! at one point, every flight i did, there was someone reading the D V Code! thats when after 4 months i decided to read it too!!

He writes as if most of it is factual which gives it such a real feel... its great. I could picture Rome as he describes in Angels and Demons... especially the vatican. It's so realistic- probably a load of cock but he makes it real enough, which is why you can't put the books down.

The Pink Panther (looks funny)

V For Vendetta (looks good but not my kind of movie)

The Hills Have Eyes (just the trailer scares me)

Tsotsi (only cause its the same Director as City of God, which was brilliant)

Pity Dan Brown is being sued for stealing someone else's idea when he wrote the Da Vinci code! It was a brilliant book though - I have the guide to it and it is amazing how much actually IS true!
Am seeing Ice Age II on Sunday!

I think Mission Impossible 3 is going to be awesome - pity Tom Cruise is such a tonsil. Pirates of the Carribean (Dead mans chest) is going to be great and there is so much buzz going around about "the Da Vinci Code" & "V for Vendetta".

Great movies I have seen recently are:
"Annapolis" - Similar to a Few good men
"Crash"
"Glory Road" - for the sport movie fans
"King Kong"

And for the horney people, "Basic Instinct 2" is coming out.

Any one with Kids or nieces/nephews look out for "Ice Age 2" - looks pretty good.

Ice age 2 was excellent. The funniest thing in it was Scrat (the little squirrel) He reminds me a lot of Wile E Coyote from the road runner cartoons.

Pure Gold!!!

I saw "Thank you for smoking" last week. I really enjoyed it. It's amazing how corrupt all governments and the people involved in there are. It was filmed mostly in Washington DC and some shots are in Baltimore, right near my apartment. Go see if there is nothing else playing.

There is a scene in there that is great.

The main guy character is divorced from his wife. And the wife's new husband is trying to lecture the guy on how to raise his son. The guy main character ends the conversation by saying something like: "Shut up, I'm his father, you are just the guy f**king his mom." So great. You have to see the movie to really appreciate it.

I think that the Davinci code book was very good, its not even a big deal, its annoying when people over react to things, like the Catholics saying it should be banned etc, its just a book for goodness sake. Im still reading Angels and Demons, i need to take the time to finish it. I really want to watch Ice Age 2, Narnia, Brokeback mountain and King kong, will have to make time to watch them soon!!:smiley17:

Has anyone seen The Constant Gardener? It's not too new but if you're from Zim you HAVE to watch it! Like wise with The Interpreter! They are both fabtastic movies!

Kirsty
05-02-2006, 06:58 PM
The Constant Gardener is a great movie, made me cry - a little too close to home. Africa is an amazing place but is so full of mess.

The Interpreter - is also great. The Zim flag is flying when the journalist goes into the rundown soccer stadium. Look out for it. Nicole Kidmans South African accent is kind of crap though, but hey it's a good movie.

Mission Impossible 3 comes out here in the states on May 5th, and I'm going to see it with a whole bunch of friends for my birthdya. I'll be sure to rate it out of 10 and let you all know how it was without giving away too much.

Saw the Da Vinci Code on Sunday! It was OK. I thought it was all a bit one dimensional - I've seen ppl get more excited trying to solve a rubiks cube! It was very true to the book though and all the fact/fiction is there!

Ok, so has ANYONE read 'Da Vinci Code' & seen the movie (as it has already been out just over a week) & can give a honest review of the film in comparison to the book? I've gotta admit l thought the whole 'English Lord'-thing in exile in France & throwing his full weight into helping them was a bit farcical but hey, that's just my thoughts - anybody else think similar/different? Also does Paul Bettany impart to you the image of the hulking, bald, muscular bloke who was killing everyone? Maybe not.
So what's the general consensus then?
