Latest additions to the forum

I will use this thread to let you know if any little code adjustments that have been included. As they are minor inclusions, there is no need to create a whole thread for them.

Next little code adjustment is a spolier tag. This can be used to hide punchlines to jokes or any other NSFW pictures (Greenballs take note!)

An example is

Why did the chicken cross the road?

To get to the other side

Or for any pictures

The code used for this is like so.

Example : {hide=Spoiler}Put words or pictures between this code{/hide}.Replace the { } with [ ] !!!

To protect members from spammers, pimps, scammers and the like, guests now cannot view any member information posted within your profile like email addresses etc.

Just added a welcome PM that is sent to any new members that register. (thanks to FerrariSucks for the help and testing)

Welcome PM is displayed as follows:

Here are a few handy hints to get you going. At the top of the main forums page you'll notice a blue navigation bar. To change all your profile settings such as time zone, signature, personal information, password etc, click "User CP" at the top left.
The "Forum Hints and help for new members" section has many other handy hints on general forum usage to help you on your way! You find this at the top of the forum page.
The bottom of the main page has the latest thread posts, information on who is online and a live shout box to talk to other members.
If you have any questions, you can ask an administrator or a moderator for assistance. Forum leaders are displayed above the shout box on the bottom of the main forum page. Click on a leader to either send a page or personal message (PM) them from their profile. They will be more than willing to help you out.

Members that have not selected an av will automatically get the "No Avatar" gif file until they select one.

suggestion - maybe in the recent posts section you can point the link to the "recent post" rather than the start of the thread.. i find that a little frustrating.

Uh, dude.... thats been there for ages.

To everyone in the forum. To go to the first post in any thread click on the 1293 icon next to any post. This incudes any posts in the forum display.

Home page now displays Champs from the arcade, 1 random game and the most popular game.

Alsom added arcade stats to the bottom of forum home. Game count, newest game and rnadom game.

Added "Latest Members" to "Quick Links" on the top nav bar. Readded flag to be displayed in your post profile depending on what country you selected in your profile.

Also added new forum stats to the bottom of the main page. It calculates posts / threads / new members over 12 months and sees how TCB is tracking. I may take this out as I'm not sure if i like it :)

Added a breadcrumb to the bottom of every thread so members dont have to go to the top to return to previous pages.

Minimum posts to view for Adult sections (this includes the whole Babe Forum and Adult links in the Video section) has been increased to 100.

Just added a new "nested quotes" feature. This means if you quote someone that has quote someone else, both quotes will display in your post (similar to what happens in PM's)

Reading through a number of posts, I thought it would be good to implement the [me] IRC feature.

It will replace "[me] does this action" with "*username* does this action".

Example: * Shayne thinks this is pretty cool :D



To use, simply type [me] and your action without the [ ] and add / before the me


NOTE: This feature also works in the shoutbox

Added forum statistics to the bottom of latest posts and extended latest posts (now showing correct dates) to show the latest 40 updated threads.

Due to space limitations, Nav bar has been split into two therefore there is now a top and bottom nav bar.

Streaming Radio and TV has now been added to TCB. You may listen or watch by click Radio and TV in the top right navbar.

Added a whole lot of new smilies to give a bit of variety.

Noticed a number of images uploaded on this site do not fit on the screen when viewing. Therefore, an image resizer feature has been implemented. From now on when viewing a photo that is too large, you will see the below as shown in the image. This should help and neaten things up.

I have added a mood manager to the top navbar under new posts and private messages. Once you have selected your mood, it will display in your profile and in all your posts above your selected country.

I'm sure you all notice our splinky splonky new look which will be used as the default style for TCB. Its a little more work friendly and not so noticeble as the stand out green.

However, you can change between either style by scrolling right to the bottom of the page and selecting your preferred style as show below.

To counter spam, new members will not be able to posts links or email addresses until they have made at least 15 posts.

To counter a few bots that seem to be getting past our human verification system at registration, from now on till further notice (ie when i find a better way), all new members will not be allowed to post messages until they visit a link that is sent to them in an email when they sign up.

Suck on that 1 1 bot from China.

There have been some recent problems with the old chat box and firebox. Therefore, a new chat box has been put in that has a little extra functionality and that works with all browsers.

I've also added the old recent threads that we had sometime ago, that displays the latest 30 threads that have been posted in. Makes life easier to see whats been posted in.

Due to fading eyesight for some of our older members (ie AngelShark) I've added "text to speech" which you'll now notice appearing in each post.
