Hey Shane

I just got myself an Apple Mac which uses Safari internet browser.
My problem is that each time I visit the site I have to register to log in even though I have cookies enabled. I dont have the same problem with Hotmail for example

Any suggestions?

- Bolty

Download Firefox for mac Bolty, it is much nicer than using Safari.

Have you checked your Safari preferences at all? There are some cookie options there that may make a difference.

Great minds think alike :)

Actually anyone who converts to a mac is the bees knees in my books, I swear by them.

Mate - mac is the dogs bollocks, I got mine Friday, plugged it in and off I went , up and running in 1/2 hour after installing email software, internet required no configuration, the true meaning of Plug and Play, its fantastic.

Back to the question, yes i have checked the Cookies settings , thats why I am confused Hotmail doesnt require me to log in every time but TCB does :)

Not mac-related, but when you log in do you tick the box next to your username where it says 'remember me'?

Sorry Paul, I'm clueless on Macs and will need to search the web for any answers. Somehow the machine is not saving the cookie... thats all i know.

Read here: http://kb.iu.edu/data/amhi.html

In Safari for Mac OS X, how do I view and control cookies?

In Safari (http://kb.iu.edu/data/data/anbz.html) for Mac OS X (http://kb.iu.edu/data/data/aghe.html), to view your cookies (http://kb.iu.edu/data/data/agwm.html) or change your cookie settings, follow the instructions below:

In Safari, from the Safari menu, select Preferences... .
Click the Security tab.
To enable cookies, next to "Accept Cookies:", select the radio button for Always or Only from sites you navigate to. To disable cookies, select the radio button for Never.
To view your cookies, click Show Cookies. In the sheet that drops down, you can browse the list of cookies on your computer. To remove one or more cookies, highlight the cookie(s) and click Remove. To remove all cookies, click Remove All. When you are finished, click Done to return to the preferences window.

Just tried going in and out a few times using Safari without any problems Bolty. These are the settings that I have checked under security in my preferences...

Thanks foe that - I have changed my Accept Cookies from 'Always' to 'Only from sites you navigate to' and it has seemed to work, not sure why but thanks for helping me out

My pleasure. I don't profess to be an expert, but I am willing to stand on rooftops and shout out loud that macs rule ;)
