Last night was sat watching telly and got a craving for "FREDO"

Lets see how many Zim sweets we can remember!!!!

Who remembers those chocolate covered peppermint sweets? And how about the bite sized crunchies wrapped in the black and silver paper? Or how about those cadbury chocolate covered shortcake biscuits in the silver wrappers? YUMMMY!!!!!!

pascalls peppermint chocs, mint imperials, chomps, what about those lobels apricots - the orange and yellow large round sweets that are terribley sweet. does anyone remember the name of those little pink sweets, they had a pink elephant on the box and it was strippy?

i can get them in the shop - they go like hot cakes. they are far too sweet for me now. pinkies that was what the little pink sweets were, remember those?

Flag cards were another collection. Over 200 cards to collect with crap on the back about the country that no 12 year old was interested in. Hey, but it had nice pictures... well.. colours.

I used to dunk my chocolate bear and fredos in my hot chocolate, and then suck them!!

I always remember the chocolate easter eggs being rubbish and dipping them in hot water then eating them - improved the taste!!!

I loved Jupiters and always make sure I have some when I go back..

I love Tomato Sauce crisps and I cant buy any anywhere, it sucks. Also love cream soda, nothing like it anywhere.

Zim sweets - loved nutlog,peppermint crips, biskit, snack ,Charhons easter eggs, Korn Kurls, chicken flings,

The best was Toffee Shortbread from Mitchells biscuits - mm nice

Bis-kit bars were my favorite - i would eat them wafer by wafer!!

also ejoyed the mini gobstoppers that had like 10 different colours and were the size of a marble and ended up with the last colour white, the size if a pin head.

remember the choc mint boiled sweets that looked like a humbug...
and my gran always bought the boiled sweets with sherbert in the middle and were sour as hell!...


oooh oooh and what about that caramel flavoured popcorn from SA i forget what they were called.. enlilghten me someone!
yeah you also got the cheese & chives flavoured ones...
my mouth is watering now!

the biscuits with the animals ontop where called iced zoo and the popcorn was called jumping jacks. they are both great. can only get the cheddar cheese ones now.

i used to be able to but will keep checking for you. things are getting harder and harder to get from zim these days and is rather frustrating. one week you can get the next you can't. i can't seem to be able to stock maputi at the mo - remember that? as soon as i have some i will pm you and will take it from there

Had myself a packet of Jumpin Jack just the other day - they were scrummy! When I was in Zim i could not get enough Korn Kurls! They are definately the best chips in the world! Hands Down!

Anyone remember those peanuts covered in pink sugary stuff? Can get peanut brittle here but it still doesnt taste the same...doesnt stop me from buying four at a time! lol Mmm, yes that chocolate toffee shortbread was grand!

SA chocolates that flooded into zim just before the Sh!t hit the fan: Caravan, Tex, PS I love you(damn those are nice!), chocolate logs, fizzers, fizz pops, chappies, Inside story

Wern't they square chewy fruit-flavoured sweets, had different coloured wrappers? Feel free to correct me.

Dont know about anyone else in Uk but when we first got here we felt spoilt for choice, not the case anymore! I find everything quite boring actually, take gum for instance - I miss peach and apricot, cant they manage that? And tomato sauce crisps?lol

Going to check out a little shop been opened up here right by me...hmmm,will tell you what they have in there!lol

I always loved that crappy brown fudge... the quality has deteriorated through the years - it looks decidedly gross, but I still love it.

The glucose tablets were Energen sweets ... Now Easter is around the corner what I'd do for a Cadbury's marshmallow egg... Do you remember the Charons easter eggs... cut in 1/2 filled with chocolates... and the other mallow ones in different coloured foil - were rock hard but you had to have 1 of each colour!!!
