I enjoyed going to Archies, Xscape (drinks tickets haha), Bulldogs, both the Kegs, Flat Dogs, La Vanhu, Brannigans, Flat Dogs, Wiggle, Tube (for the Sat night Rave Asylums)

And when I went back recently well last year I did notice all the 16 years olds.. Damn I felt old..

3 nights a week at X-scape for 4 years took its toll! :D :D
I also enjoyed Bizaar bar and La-vanhu... & good fellows rocked for a short time, but mainly because all me mates went there, it was really a bit boring.

yeah archies was where i cut my teeth but i must admit being a farm boy i only came out my shell after i left school and by then archie pearlagoes was already going downhill... and Sandro's was full of sleazy 40 yr old men trying to pick up 16yr old girls.

Wasn't there also a dodgy club called Sarahs? I went there once.

I don't know what they put in the beers there but my bum was sore for days afterwards. :smiley2:

I enjoyed Mirage and the Tube before Archies and Turtles was already on the way down but the glass around the dance floor was cool.
Anyone on here remember the club in Avondale where Edgars is/ was in 2002? Was it called Marilyns?
Of all the clubs I played at I think I had the best fun at Xscape but had a few good laughs at Goodfellows!

To show my age, we started at Itais (Italian Club) and Callies, in our early teens, moved on to Rosalinds, and then Sandros when Rosalinds closed. Had good times at all of these places, as far as i can remember anyway.

Look what I stumbled accross on the net (during working hours, work related of course). Anyone remember this dude?

Roffie began his DJ days in 1995 as part of mobile disco duo, Pulse, which hosted a popular under 18s night, "Koke'n'Crunchie" at St. Gerard's Hall in Harare, Zimbabwe. Together with his mentor Nick Basic, these two DJs continued the nights every month end until Pulse secured a residency at Xscape in 1996 playing Trance. The club which is situated in the northern area of Harare, became one the hottest Dance Music clubs in the city.

Ah Circus was pretty crazy and Flamingos had a few packed ones. I rememeber hiding once when there was a raid.
Rosalinds was the one I was thinkin of in Avondale. Then it became Samanthas and no one went.

We also spent a bit of time at Your Place, this changed name but cannot remember if that was before or after it was Your Place and also went to the Causerie (Meilkles Hotel).

Callies is next door to Chapman Golf Club. Showing my age, but in the old days we used to start at the Causerie (Meikles Hotel), then walk down to Archies and then to Sarahs.

As for pulse, they took over St gerad's from me. I used to run that gig. As well as DJ'ing at the tube , archies, sandros. sarahs, being the first DJ at x-cape. DJ-ing at Sports cafe, and many a private gig, As DJsam, I think I was kind of a mentor to him and henry and raymond.

Callies was the club next to hellenics club. next to chapman. Rosalinds was the one in Avondale.

LOL- Rosalinds was the 1st nightclub I ever went too! I had to argue with the bouncer about letting me in cos of my age! He gave in and I became a regular! LOL - I loved that place! I was there once when there was a police raid and everyone (underage that is) used to run for the kitchens and hide in the cupboards. Well I didn't have time so I hid under one of the tables with the lovely long tableclothes and quietly shat myself! Anyway - the cops must have been wise to the ways of us underage and the whole kitchen cupboard thing cos that's where they went! I was safe! Couldn't beleive it!! They didn't even bother checking the tables!

I loved partying in Harare! Archies on Ladies Night, Sarah's for your alternative nights, St Gerards when you wanted to hang with your school mates, Circus for your pre party drinks on a Fri night, Turtles for your karioke nights, Sandros when I got a little older, school discos - they rocked! LOL - they were all good - especially with a ciggie in one hand and a vodka, lime and lemonade in the other! Sigh those were the days!

Archies was the first night club i ever went to in Zim, Xscape, goodfellows ,oranges, both kegs, sports cafe (remember the raft on the roof), la vahnu,!!!
When i worked for red bull, we organised a rave at the race course, i got into so much KUK!! someone had driven their cars on the course and ruined it, so the had to cancel the next day meeting, i was asked so many questions, if i knew the people that had done it etc, i still dont know who they were!!! The memories, man zim rocked when it came to parties and nights out!!!

Who the hell is that clown?
Nick Wigmore was a barman at the keg and I did mobile disco's with him for parties and miss chisi a few times.
Pulse never had jack to do with Xscape.
It was Gerry,Donny then gerrys cousin for a while on Wednesdays then Myself then Raymond ,Hendry and Nicholas did some Saturdays in the blue zoo. That pretty much till 2000 at least.

Archie get your leg over was brilliant... Dated one of the DJ's so used to be there practically every night... Circus used to be good as well as Flamingo's ... Also Copacabana was brilliant for a while... Remember one night in Copacabana when the Agricultural Show wa son and that Theme Park place was there (not our usual one) the "imported" one and they were handing our free tickets... Was a brilliant night out!

Sarahs was only dodgy on gay nights. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Otherwise it rocked!
Maybe this nightclub was all before your time. ROSLINDS YEAH! :smiley20:
