Red triangle is three blocks high, and 8 long, turquoise is 5 long and 2 high, put them in opposite positions the obvious changes , the green block is 3 across at the top and two high and the last block is 5 across and 2 high , there for taking the over lap on the orange to the green is 2 blocks by moving the orange block down and across one level therby creates the hole. lol I hope .lol

T66 is correct, the unequal triangles if switched will equal the same length regards of what happens under them! Rep for T66

If you look hard at the picture you will notice that the line A-B has a slight curve. Your eyes are not playing tricks on you. D-E is a straight Line. If you were to superimpose Triangle D E F onto A B C you will see that the triangles are not equal. The easier way you can see this is to look at the green triangle, 5 squares long by 2 squares high. Now count the same on the red triangle you will see the points do not match... there is a gap! in this gap is where your "hole" originates from.

Gosh, and there I thought it was something simple like placing three blocks on top of two creates a gap.
You guys spend too much time thinking, - relax, chill, have a beer.
