Zimbabwe Music Day : London : Manchester Square WIU : Afternoon of June 9th.
ICI are holding an exhibition of African musical instruments in their foyer - 4-9th June - open to the public all week.
The Corporate centre Charity Commitee are having a fundraiser to raise money for a community project at Chiriseri Village in the Bindura district. The funds will be for music programmes using the Mbira and the school project aims to develop traditional musical skills. Although the fundraising dinner is not for the general public, I have included this information as background info. and also to inform you that ICI are doing a good deed.
Manchester Square will be hosting an african music afternoon on 9th June at which Zimbabwians Chartwell Dutiro (Mbira) and Chris Morphitis (Guitar) will be playing. Everyone welcome.
I am not sure if they will be collecting money at the music do - but if they are - please donate generously.
