Then, at the end of the night, hundreds of drunk Zimbos are released into South London.. usually sideways. Most get on the wrong tube. Or get on the right tube but got off at the wrong station. Tis top class humour.

Zimfest is WAY cool man! Really awesome and always end up bumping into loads of people you knew back home and didn't know were here.

Just lots of drinking, good music, sadza, boerie, grape fanta and hoboz of Zimbabweans!

usually wimboldon isnt it?? although there are apperntly braais in milton keynes a couple of wknds a month tru-out the summer

The Milton Keynes ones are never as good as the Zimfest in Raynes Park (near Wimbledon)

I think each year Zimfest is getting bigger, last year they moved the venue about 2 weeks before the event. They will probably do it in Cheswick again which is South London

Zimfest 2007 – A venue has been provisionally booked for the 1st of September 2007. A licensing application has already been submitted and we should know either way by end of May. Again this year the ambition is to have as much lead time as possible in organising the event, to avoid the annual stresses (if they can be avoided)

Just got an invite for a group re. Zimfest - said saturday 1st Septmeber - 11 am -9 pm, Prince georges's Playing fields, bushey road, raynes park...
nothing on our Zimfest Rocks thing yet though...

Yip, good question, 'cause I am trying to make an apperance in Enlgand sometime in 2008, and I'm trying to figure out when the best time to go is, so I can see as many Zimbos as possible.

iv been to two of the zim fests and they are the best Braii's bori rolls all sorts from zim and s.a. tshirts etc.... beer beer beer and more beer it the best and so many people friends from long back its so good to catch up.. talk about catching the wrong trains and tubes i did that my first year and ended up staying in london all night just going arroung with a bunch of friends.. We went to all the late night clubs and then ended up at the train station to catch the 7:30am train home after sleeping anywere we could put our heads.. im shore im not the only one.. hee hee it was the best loved it so much..
