Arcade Query - Cat Batting

I know it shouldn't but this game is bugging me. The instructions print is so small I can't read it. How do you move the bat? I used the cursor and just can't seem to hit the cats? Anyone got any instructions to reveal.

Quick Instructions:

Use mouse to move the bat
Click on cat to "bat" it
More cats in the air = more points scored
Hit the cat over the wall to score more points
Cat will 'splatter' if it falls from high up
Two cats meeting in mid air will fight causing you to lose points.
