S14 - things you wish you never said...

So now that the S14 is over and we've got almost nothing to talk about, I thought it would be fun to reflect over things that were said during the course of the tournament. Things that came back to bit us on the ass.

Feel free to add more, and to come back and defend your ridiculous predictions...

Biffon: hmmm the Force are gonna rock the socks off the favorites this year.... watch this space... (still watching....)


Shifty: I'd like to apologise in advance for the thrashing you guys are going to receive from the Hurricanes in the Super 14 this year... (apology accepted, don't be so hard on yourself....)

Shayne: Good to see the Brumbies thump the Chiefs. Next week, we destroy the Blues. (17-13 loss is not exactly a destroying...)

Moses: Glad to see the Mighty Tahs have ticked off one away game... next week the Sharks are going down! (hahahha, on both counts....)

Patson: Whats the bets all newzealand teams winnin this weekend.... and then when they lost... look at the bright side the all blacks are not back yet so there is still hope for the other teams ...

Shayne: I'll need to see a doctor for Prozac if the Blues do well this year and actually make the semi's... (say hi to the doc for me... )

Biffon: I reckon Bulls will struggle against the top teams this year so i think shaynes on the money, you might see a surprise in the Lions, they are looking sharp (how sharp Biff?)

Blazzo: Dude. The force is strong in this one... Go the force! All the other teams suck balls (heh heh)

Edmonsta: Bring on the Chiefs!!! (hmm, not quite the bringing on I was hoping for... we lost)

Barto1: (about the final) roast beef in durban on saturday night... (more like fish fingers...)

One other thing I clearly remember saying when the Sharks beat the Crusaders in the dying seconds of the game, was something to the effect of:

"Hahaha, Richie McCaw said in the interview "We played winning rugby for 80 minutes, pity the game lasted 82..."

I thought this was hilarious that the Sharks could come back and score the winning try to win by 1 point after 80 minutes....

I had no idea how much this same scenario would bite me in the ass come final day....:smiley3:

New Zealand PC keyboards have a different layout to those in the UK and Australia. I was actually typing the words "next year" but it came out as "this year". A typing error, no more no less..:naughty:

I can associate with that. Having just come from the UK myself I find that I am having to get used to Aussie keyboards.

Why just today, when emailing a reply to a client, I meant to type:

"Hi *******, no problem, I'll get on to it as soon as I have finished the accruals..."

but I actually ended up typing:

"If you stop F***ing bugging me I might be able to get to your stupid problem you useless tool. If you don't want to wait for me to sort your shit out then don't f***ing get it right in the first place, ok shithead?":smiley5:
