Does anyone know what happened to that giant tortoise that used to hang out in the Lion & Cheetah Park in Harare? I think it was well over a hundred years old.

I really hope it's still around but suspect that one of the locals might have turned it into a stew.. :smiley7: :angry!:

I know that when the Bristo's ran it he was still around, but I think he eventually died of old age!

quite probably...especially since they move as slow as...well, as slow as tortoise

I was talking to sahyne about that tortoise the other day... it was still alive in 2001, i think i have a pic of Liana sitting on it .. somewhere. will post when i get a chance
