My mom is avoiding the question of how much an air ticket would cost to UK from Zim. We are trying to pay for her to come out for two weeks to look after our baby boy as his childminder is on holiday and we are paying for her ticket but she is being evasive of the question of money.
How much on average (in pounds) would I need to put into my dad’s account so that I can cover the cost of an air ticket in Zim bucks?
I’ve got my dad’s account details so I will just shove the money in there and there is not a lot they can do then!

hiya, they had some special on flying from sa from around 400£ on nationwide worth trying to find out... exchange rate is a little over 100 000 now, keep checking on www.swradioafrica.com (http://www.swradioafrica.com), they usually have it on there but knock off about 10% as they go with what the highest is...

why don't you give air zim a call and ask them?

Because if you call Air Zim from within the UK they quote you in £ and if I can find a travel agent in ZIM they quote in Zim bucks. But I have had a estimate (ZWD23,000,000) which is £230 from Zim end but we can't purchase the tickets until 30 days before in case the price goes up!

Another suggestion: You could ask your Mum to purchase the ticket in Zim herself (if she can) and give her the money in Pounds cash when she arrives, she would double that amount on her return by exchanging it on the BM.

Hey there... I did my moms through Air Zim in London and it was not a bad price at all... It is so much easier, all you do is book the flight, give them payment details and your mom collects her ticket from thier desk at the airport when she leaves...
