The role will include daily management of a 20 HA vegetable farm and the staff. I employ about 60 people. It will include everything from soil prep to seeding, harvesting and product preparation for delivery to my customer (one of the national retailers).
I will pay a decent salary and offer accomodation.
Someone with some experience in managing people will be preferable and experience in vegetable farming would be preferable but not a necessity. As long as there is some farming experience even if it is another type of farming eg animal husbandry or mielie farming that would also be OK.

Mike, I've been asked to enquire about work permit/residency. Can you assist in getting a Zimbabwe Passport holder and his wife a work permit/temporary residents permit etc. It's always the paperwork that scuppers good ideas.

Mike, It's not a query for me, it's via a friend in Harare. If you had the weather we have here right now you would know why I would like to be back in Africa. I have no idea what South Africa Immigration requires for Zims. Will speak to my boyfriend when he gets home and send details to you via email.

Whats the security situation like around there. I hear the national passtime in S.A. is killing farmers??

The situation is bad and I cant see it improving. I dont live on the farm but my neighbour (where I live) was murdered about 6 weeks ago.
SA is not a good option for anyone other than a Zimbabwean it seems. I dont know how those folk keep themselves alive up there, it sounds like aramageddon.
I will find out about the immigration requirements and perhaps you can put your friend in touch with me.
