Has anyone ever read the morning mirror? http://www.morningmirror.africanherd.com/smalls/

It's a fund raiser for the Edith Daly home and you give a donation to put an add in the smalls. It's a very peculiar thing to read. It can be hilariously funny(illiterate looking for lost dog) and very sad all at the same time. I can't read them very often because it is a little depressing at times to see what it's like at the coal face.

It is owned and managed by Maggie Kriel, she has quite a big following - seems to work better without the 'smalls' at the end.

Bump.

Just came across this again (mum put the baby notice in it). It's a really good site and they are keeping on keeping on.

Margaret Kriel's Morning Mirror has plenty of local information, upcoming functions etc. She has also recently incorporated Harare. Read some of her past issues - especially the one from last Xmas:smiley13:

Here's the link to register for her weekly Bulawayo news bulletins:

Maggie Kriel used to be on TV and radio in Zim at one stage Iggy, she is quite a well-known personality - probably more better-known in the older generations. I think she used to be a news reader on top of all the other bits and pieces that she did.

Consider myself one of the older ones, :naughty: , but I don't remember her but I have been looking at her website for about a year now and she sounds like a true, great, Rhodesian woman, ooops.............. LOL :smiley20:

Mmmm, if my memory serves me correctly, we are talking radio 1 generation rather than radio 3 generation (if that makes sense...) I only know of her because her eldest daughter was a couple of years below me at school and we did team sport together.
